..a different person every day? Because I'm the same person when I wake up in the morning as I am when I go to bed at night. I am what I am, and what I am needs no excuses I play my own cards, sometimes the ace, sometimes the deuces There's one life, and there's no return and no deposit One life (so it's time to open up the closet). OK, I'm not gay, but nonetheless I am what I am. And what I am is a good person. A struggler. A fighter. Dealing with real life shite. Coming here for support and friendship and a good bloody argument.

Were I a philosopher (and I'm not) I might make out an argument for saying you are not the same person you were yesterday, or even when you woke. But it is true to say that you are more of that person than anyone else.
Or are we? How do we know we don't swap bodies on a daily basis, inheriting all the memories of our "new identity" with no knowledge of who we were the day before.

If we are supposed to swap then I think I've had a fuse blow! I've been stuck with this one for 39 years.

I like the idea, Housesparrow. It opens up the door to not doing anything at all about one's problems because tomorrow it will be a brand new set of challenges and hopefully a body that didn't over indulge over Christmas.
