If this spells the end of the £3 T-shirt, it may be a good thing.
There are quite a few new small clothes outlets in my town, I notice, selling bright, original clothing (a lot of it too young for me, I fear). Their stuff isn't wildly priced; I browsed in one yesterday and saw nothing over £50 (jumpers, jackets, dresses). And of course there are always charity shops. Maybe people will begin to be a bit more selective in what they buy and choose things that will last.

Considering how regularly shops are discovered (again and again) to be taking part in slave labour somewhere, I expect they are anticipating the next price hike and seeking out new lands to have their jeans sewn together in to keep the price down.
