Great dream. But...In Communist Kosovo? Why would I want to stay in Big Brother Kosovo? I think we need Lil to interpret that dream. Many many weirdisms. You swap me for Gothboy, for a start.

Yes. 27. You have a problem with that? I don't have a problem, but I do have a calculator.

Yeah, I don't know where Gothboy came from but suddenly he was there with me going back to Serbia proper and you were staying on in this freaky spa place in Kovoso. Kosovo isn't Communist either . . I don't know why they were being so freaky.

Happy Birthday, Trubs, whether it is that day or not.
SyncRead Newsflash: I'm four fifths through Hornet's Nest (and wishing I hadn't read any of them so that I could read them).
This is a great book. The first two were good enough, but this one is easily the best thriller/mystery I've ever read. (But one must read them in sequence.)
[I've taken to keeping my Swedish roadmap handy so that I can see where the places and Stockholm streets are, but I'm just like that. It's not necessary unless you've got OCD too.]
Wiki Warning Rappel: Don't go there! Spoils key plot element.

I'm afraid that board requires a sign-in, Jean.

Ah.
Well, I hope Lin won't mind if I summarise.
The poster Octopus is wished a Happy Birthday for January 1st,
He replies:
Thank you...but it isn't. Thanks anyway!
I want to know why he told us it was his birthday when it wasn't, and he said:
Because PBs make you supply a birthdate when they sign up. Perhaps there should be an option in your settings to say whether the dob you have supplied is fake, then in the 'today's birthdays' panel it could say the user's name followed by a '(not really)'.
I asked why he didn't want us to know his real birthday, and housey pointed out
Jean, I can remember a discussion on the now defunct BBC Woman's Hours board concerning identity security on joining a proboard, when these were a novelty. A lot of posters were nervous about this, so someone (Bella I think) told us to create a separate web e-mail account and give a different birthdate.
That's why so many members have April 1 birthdays, I think!
(The poster fretslider then wanted to know why I wanted to know Octopus's real birthday. Obviously it's because I want to stalk him.)

I never put a (correct) birthdate online. If it's absolutely required, I use a false one I can easily remember.

Then when people stay up all night making cakes for you (a bit I left off my thread summary above) you just make a fool of them!

(Thank you Everso.) It isn't my birthday - that was back in Novemeber, but thank you for the well wishes anyway! And... well, I've begun to think that maybe we should have more birthdays. I think I will have one this week, when I'm least expecting it; this one's cheered me right up!

Well, if Her Majesty can have two birthdays....
I'll have mine on 9th September so that the year is neatly divided into two halves.

Well, if Her Majesty can have two birthdays.... I'll have mine on 9th September so that the year is neatly divided into two halves. Great choice, Ev! . . . My late dad's birthday (he'd've been 108 this year), and, of course, Three Stags Day. [Didn't understand the "two halves" bit.]

My birthday is 9th March, so there's 6 months between both months.

My birthday is 9th March, so there's 6 months between both months. Doh. Good point. For me that would be some time in December. "9th March, 1959: Barbie doll makes debut at the American Toy Fair in New York, the doll was designed by Ruth Handler and introduced by Mattel Toy Company costing $3."
