Once and for all. Have been desperately ill...and NO..I DON'T WANT SYMPATHYDoing something about it. Have been to the doctors this morning. Have been given medication, have to go for a blood test on Monday, and lots of very depressing looking leaflets offering advice and telephone numbers. I'm not an alcoholic...even the doc agreed. But when I do drink I find it hard to stop. It means changing my lifestyle. Lots of fresh air, exercise and good food. And also exorcising some of my demons from the past. Admittedly that's a bit more complicated. I can only just shout out the lord's prayer and sprinkle some evian about and hope they don't notice.  Chris, good luck with changing the lifestyle. You're young enough to make a difference to your life. Aubrey might have a point about the tea you know. Why not develop a taste for it (or coffee) - rather like a wine expert, except there's no alcohol involved.  |

good on ya Chris.  i fear i might be joining you.. been back n forth to t'hospital for tests n shit lately.. think me livers kyboshed.. gawd knows how, i aint a huge drinker anyway, but i think i'll be qwuitting the booze for good if me livers up the spout.  Costal! This is awful. I do hope you're soon on the road to recovery. Giving up the booze will certainly help. |

Aww cheers guys.. an update, i got results yesterday from my ultrasound, twas not as bad as first it seemed.. a big relief! i celebrated with a bottle of wine last last night. There is some mysterious thing in my liver, but at least the liver itself is ok, apparantly along with me other abdominal bits n bobs, so the investigation continues, but i think drinking is ok. Good to cut down on these things anyway, int it? |

There is some mysterious thing in my liver, but at least the liver itself is ok,
mine is willed to some obscure religion-pickled liver is a dietary speciality it seems
