For those who don't know, what you get is a plethora of channels which broadcast recordings of young women who look about 16, (mainly in their knickers and bras) bobbing up and down on brightly coloured sofas with headsets on, attempting to entice viewers into phoning them 'live' on air using a premium rate number at around £1.50 per minute. Sky is now inundated with such channels in their 'adult' section, and it seems the chastised channel (no such channel...I wish their was) the ermmm... rogue channels have blatantly trounced the rules and broadcast such material during daylight hours. Get shut of them all please. They are horrible tacky and naff and clearly aimed at teenagers and middle aged imbeciles who spend most weekends with their ageing mothers.  (I only switched them on occasionally). Shut it!  (besides I pay my mum's phonebill)

Ahh, I've seen some of these on freeview...some of the girls are lovely, but you are right, it's only "teasing & titilation", not like they actually get their kit off and go at it in a frenzy of filthy lesbo lust or anything (unfortunately). AH |

There was a story in the nationals a few years back about a German who went to check out of his hotel and ws faced with a phone bill of several thousand euros. He had dialled a sex chat line and fallen asleep.

If premium rate numbers were stopped then these channels and phone lines would be put out of business. I believe Riot that the 'pornification' of culture isn't anything new. What is new are these adult phone channels and the way in which they attempt to tease and entice the stupid. But it's the premium rate phone advertising which brings them in the cash. Stop the flow of that and you kill them off. As for porn...it's a huge debate and I don't agree it's all a bad thing. If it's done well. |

Adam Faith was supposed to have said that the C% porn programme was crap just before he died. I think he was just saying that C5 porn was crap porn (which it was).
I can't watch that Sky TV kind of porn. I don't know why anyone would, when it's easy to download real porn for nothing.

A book of trivia I have - "Schott's Miscellany" - something like that, mentions that there are more available Porn Channels in the UK than any other European Country. That sadly says a lot really.  |

And it says a lot that any real porn channels are not allowed in the UK. Hard core porn tends to be less stereotypical - "Pornified" - than soft: Soft, always pornified, Hard, not always. |
