I'm pretty certain that I overdosed on cake and sweets on the 25th and 26th...my tummy felt right poorly...I fucking love love Christmas. ;D I hope that everybody else had a nice time and eat lots of rich food and yummy deserts until they felt sick. AH

Weyland txted me to say that his internet is broken again. Just thought I'd let you know.
I myself am in the latter stages of something . . probably a very long and desperate hangover that has followed a long period of over-drinking. I'm completely drained.
Is Christmas worth it?

Is Christmas worth it?Fuck yeah! People feel obliged to spend money on you that they wouldn't normally spend. That's gotta be good. AH

Weyland txted me to say that his internet is broken again. Just thought I'd let you know. Thanks, Riot. The BT -- OpenReach, they call it -- men just left. They sent two this time, in two vans, and they rewired the whole BT setup, including the cable to the pole 25m away, and explained the many and varied problems I've been having with phone and broadband. No charge. Brought a little ray of sunshine (© 2010 Jean) into my miserable week. They did say my (Virgin) broadband should now be quicker. It isn't, but I'm not complaining to BT about that. Summary: Excellent service from BT. It's heart-warming to be able to say stuff like that these days. ~ ~ ~ On the other hand, with regard to the flooded kitchen, the insurance company promised to ring me back on the mobile yesterday, but didn't. I am now fuming, and will be kicking them around after I've finished here.

We'd phoned them on Monday to tell them that Mr. E's mum's phone wasn't working. After doing some tests it appeared that it was an outside fault and, after emphasising how important it was to get an 81 year old lady's phone working pronto, they appeared first thing the following day (yesterday). Well done BT. Actually, it's pretty pathetic how grateful we are that a company does its best for its customers!
