The WordNet 3 Dictionary & Thesaurus on my Kindle says this for zed . . .
The 26th letter of the Roman alphabet – the British call Z zed and the Scots call it ezed but Americans call it zee
Discuss. Especially you Jocks and Jockettes.
(The Dutch call it zed as well, and they should know.)

Except an American. It was probably an American who wrote the entry. Nuff zed.
