Over and over and over and over and over and over and over we are assured -- even by seemingly sane commentators -- that the City
shites folk who get more money in a year than most people ever see in a lifetime (no matter how hard they work) have to get it because of the vast amounts they "earn" for their employers.
They don't create anything. Not a thing. They certainly don't create wealth, except for themselves and their employers, who in turn create nothing.
Where does the money come from? Who actually earns it? Obviously the City scum don't. They only get paid it.
They're alleged to be very clever, the crème de la crème, but it seems to me that they're no cleverer than most of the rest of us, except that they know how to get payed for feck all, and rejoice in it. Most of us wouldn't even consider it. Couldn't.
Someone
please tell me: where does the fecking money come from? Who actually earns it? Why is it given to people you wouldn't piss on if they were on fire?
I've asked these questions countless times, of anyone who would listen -- including an old school friend who had fallen among bankers (because his dad was one), and another who worked for the
Financial Times. They had about as much idea as I do, including the banker.
Please help.
