Have you seen Office Space Weyland? No, but it looks worth seeing. I'll bear it in mind. Talking of cubes, as in Dilbert, I can testify that, bad though they are, they're nowhere near as bad as a completely Open Plan office, which was the <hawk> Management Consultants' <gob> latest wizard idea in the last department I worked in. Naturally, the management ignored the people who would have to work in it, and did everything the Consultants proposed. I'd guess that productivity halved -- morale certainly crumbled. I was not within 15 metres of a window or even a wall. Naturally neither the management nor the Consultants had to work in it. Bonuses all round for them. There is an even worse way these days, which was already infecting other departments then, but I escaped in time. That's Hot Desking. You don't have any space of your own, just what happens to be available on the day. More bonuses. Best I remember was a two-man office, as long as you get on with the other occupant. I always did.

Hmmm. Bonbon, I can only suggest you change your job.
Then you might end up in an office like my last, when mortage interest rates were never mentioned but every Monday morning was a post mortem of the weeklend football games.

Trust me...football would be preferable to them with their diaries out falling over themselves to book squash matches with the Boss.. arse creeping at it's finest.......

Good luck Bonbon. Stay out of it.
I ended up taking part in my office Fantasy Football League. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em. But it really wasn't a bad place to work; at least all sporting activity was confined to studying match results.
Squash indeed!

I did a fantasy cricket league thing that we had in our flat (our lass and her sister are cricket fiends). I chose names of cricketers that could be worked into F Zappa's Conceptual Continuity world, and came out top. yay!
