What was the thing she was using with the small top? She kept dabbing it. I thought it might be water. My mum always said that water helped to shine shoes ('spit and polish')
Actually, Mr. E. would like this clip. He's a Saturday morning shoe shiner and is usually found in the garage with a pile of shoes, happily brushing away - after he's put out the bird food of course.
I get a bit worried that he's fond of routine....

Don't fret Mrs E, polishing shoes is not only rewarding, but also very relaxing...Mr E probably uses it as his little "quiet time" when he can just chill and think about things (or not think about things is he wants).
Oh, the little water dispenser that is being used is well cool (and it will be water, it helps thin the polish and help it spread around and be absorbed).
(There seems to be some debate about that video, some say the polisher is a girl, I thought it was just a metrosexual kinda asian bloke...whatever he/she is, they have the polishing skillz)

Actually, I do believe you are correct. Watching the video again, I think the hands belong to a bloke.

And speaking of shoe related things... A snip at just under £300, and with my birthday not too far away, well, just throwing a few ideas out there. AH

But surely they're chick boots. For chicks. Like me.
They would look amazing on me.

RG, they are 100% bloke boots, the specific design is around a century old - You only think they look like chick boots because men aren't seen in proper leather soled footwear with proper stacked leather heels anymore...we live in age of disposable stuff now and I think we threw away our love for well made things along the way. I'm sure a fine upstanding grrl like yourself could wear them and look pretty tidy, although I prefer women to wear longer boots, girls look fantastic most kinds of long boots that go above the calf.
