I made little white chocolate fairy cakes and a fruit tea cake all from Rachel Allens book. I told my OH i borrowed 75 mils of his whisky, i thought i could smell it he says,yes its been simmering with the mixed fruit in the pan. yum!now its in the cake.

Mmmm whisky cake.
Our lass did a cake yesterday. It was good, but a bit sweet for me, though. I think I would have prefered it with custard.

I've got a wonderful recipe for apple cake, made with a little lemon and ground almonds. I made one last week with the last of our apples ... will now havew to wait until he autumn.
