Welcome to the fluffy side, Kallista.
Provided you enjoy light-hearted debates on world topics and serious arguments over how to make a trifle correctly, you've come to the right board.
;D

Hi Kalista, Pull up a chair, stick the kettle on, and tell us a bit about yourself. What's your name and where do you come from? Welcome to Stub Crouch. Jump right in.

Aaah, thanks for the welcome. Debates about correct trifle assembly procedure sounds like my style. I've been on Mumsnet a lot recently which is a great source of information, but people tend to get quite worked up and flamey about the most trivial things!
Sadly, I'm not much like Callisto from Xena, especially not at the moment as I am heavily pregnant - I don't think the impractical armour would fit me! Although in Xena-related trivia, my husband won a competition once and his prize was a sword that was presented to him by Lucy Lawless. She even had a pretend sword fight with him on stage (she battered him).

I think we're supposed to be thinking of KALLISTO
Gender: Feminine
Usage: Greek Mythology, Ancient Greek
Other Scripts: Καλλιστω (Ancient Greek) Derived from Greek καλλιστος (kallistos) meaning "most beautiful". In Greek mythology Kallisto was a nymph who was loved by Zeus. She was changed into a she-bear by Hera, and subsequently became the Great Bear constellation. This was also an ancient Greek personal name. Here she is at a hen party with her cronies . . .

Point 3: There are people who would pay good money to get roughed up by Lucy Lawless. AH

Actually, that's what I meant above; but looking at it now, 8 hours later, it seems as if I was sceptical as to the truth of the story.
No! What i meant was, Lucky dog.

At this point, Alpha will probably be drooling. The 9th word of her 1st post was "trifle" - Drooling indeed! (and that's before she got to the Lucy Lawless part). Oh, that "mumsnet" place is where Nigel Farage got duffed up by a load of angry female posters isn't it? ;D AH

Hello Kallista and Welcome along. If you've survived Mumsnet this will be a pullover/rollover/pavlova er, Pushover! That's the one I was looking for! Tuck yourself in at the table and tuck in.

Oh yes, my husband still dines out on the Lucy Lawless story. Sadly the sword itself is currently up for sale as we have limited storage space and two inquisitive children and another on the way.
And yes, Nigel Farage was bitch-slapped on Mumsnet. Probably not as badly as Nick Griffin would have been, but pretty soundly nonetheless.
