I can understand why Eman wants to drive herself (right at the end of the article). But I wonder what would happen to Babal if she did?
But of course I welcome the right of women to drive and I'm pretty sure that in other Arab countries many do.

I wonder if that was the same criminal who was on FiveLive the other day. She said she had driving licences from other Gulf states, plus an International Licence. I used to know a British woman who was deported from Saudi Arabia in the early 80s after being seen driving a car a few hundred metres. And that was on the company site where her (British) husband worked, not even a public road. I suppose she was lucky they didn't cut her feet off. God is Great. |

On GWD I have somehow been painted (apu) as some kind of radical feminist for speaking out for gender equality One of the arguments (and I paraphrase) against me is 'just shut up, you've got gender equality now so stop banging on about it'.
Breathtaking really, and when I read stories like this I realise what Loaded magazine reading fools exist on MBs!
(Just seen that old mad guy on MCL whining on about how Debbie Harry's got too matronly for him to beat his meat over these days . . . do these people really go out in public and talk to other human beings?)

Vast quantity of posts from her — zero interesting content. Mostly obvious NF/EDL/BNP racist rubbish and denials of it being racist rubbish. She did the same to The Harbour and JSG, and will no doubt have also done it to almost any board she ever touched. Not just her, of course, but she can do it single-handed and without apparent effort. She's put me right off Derbyshire for good.[/rant] |

The main mod guy who has the keys to let people in is off for the weekend Weyland but I'll pop a post in the mod room. The board vets all applications because (whether it's the software they use or what) we've been badly afflicted with spambots. For example, one advertising Ugg Boots. And they start threads - all electronically, they make no sense in English - and stuff. Take it you registered as Weyland Yutani? If so I can get them to let you in quick-style. If you registered under a different nom-de-guerre, pm me the name. |

Why bother with the anti-spam stuff if he ignores it? It makes the board look like a joke and a dodgy prospect. J's T has similar problems — inept Mods.
