are not UK troubles. The international community need to understand that Scotland and Wales are peaceful and quiet.Except Scotland at present is suffering from lots of rain with flash floods to worry about. The fools in Glasgow tried to stir things up on facebook, they are now in trouble with the law. Scotland is sending some police to go and help England. This our news north of the English border. www.bbc.co.uk/news/scotland/

Likewise Sezzers (despite my earlier comments in the looting thread) it is only a small minority of English youth who are the problem...most of 'em are excellent.

Yes, dear old Glasgow.
Proudly riot-free since the Royal Wedding riot at Kelvingrove Park earlier this year.
And counting.

Once again, my cure-all suggestion of "rooftop snipers" would have sorted this stuff out in minutes.
There isn't much that can't be sorted out with this policy, dogs fouling pavements, vandalism, drunks on the rampage, rioters, protests, feral children, traffic violations, noisy neighbours, homelessness...the list is endless.
Somebody will listen to me one day...and the world will be an alltogther more peaceful, pleasant and happy place to live in.

Well, yes - it would be as happy as that Jerome Bixby story where everyone has to keep smiling and thinking happy thoughts all the time unless something bad happens - "It's a good life", isn't it called?
