Dublin City Council has declared a major emergency as many parts of the city are struggling with flooding after torrential rain hit the east and north of the country.

Hope it goes soon and it's not too bad.

I did wonder who left those damp footprints across the kitchen floor.

Thank you for noticing the rain, patrick. I've been going stir crazy here all day. Apart from a threatened flood headed off by removing leaves from the drain, there was no excitement and I feel as if I have been locked in a jail cell for a decade.
