I am speakin' to you this evening from my second hand previously enjoyed laptop computing machine. This means I shall now be able to join in with conversations about television programmes what are usually on after my bedtime and stay up nattering shite with you all. There's the added bonus of getting rid of my ancient mainframe and reclaiming my dining room for the promotion of family unity around the dining table.. Oh the witty repartee, the mellow sounds of the string quartet pealing out from the gramophone... I shall send to the printer for my 'At Home' cards forthwith!!! ..or I might just take to my bed and watch hours and hours of i player and never have to be nice to anyone ever again.....bliss..

Talking of timewasting; loaded an app to the phone the other day that lets you stream the Freeview channels to it. It even works on the "3G" (whatever that is) network as well as the WiFi. Even BBC's iPlayer doesn't do that. Oddest thing is that on ebay people are buying this app - or something similar on auctions there - when this one is free, only needing a registration.
Earlier this year I lost a beloved one. My 24 year old TV Clock Radio died - and no one seems to do a replacement. Aside from the August range of mini TV's that is. The other day came across something called the "Disgo" - naff name - but it's a 7" TV clock Radio - with an iPod/Phone dock at the top. You can stream stuff from the phone to the main screen too. It's some American, or Far Eastern thing - a bit plasticky looking, but we'lls see.

I shall have to replace my clock radio soon. The alarm set button no longer works and I daren't change channel 'cos I'd never find it again
It's a shame the standard of workmanship these days....we paid £2.00 for it in 1979.
Wonder if Comet will give me a refund?

Wonder if Comet will give me a refund? You could've bought Comet for £2.00 the other day. Someone did just that. I'm a bit sad, for two reasons: 1. I worked at Comet for a year or two. 2. BonBon obviously set me up to post this, and I didn't twig until it was too late.

I read that Comet were bought by a finance company. Expect the whole chain to be gutted within the next couple of years then.
I think my Saisho TV clock radio probably self euthanised. No thanks to the "Rush to digital" the TV was no longer functional, and in another few years the radio will probably be gone too.
I really hope "Analogue" radio stays though. Because with analogue radio - YOU choose what you want to listen to, on digital radio the Government chooses what it wants you to listen to. You're probably better off with an internet radio.

Oh bummer!
What happened? What make was the laptop? Honestly, you just can't rely on stuff today!
Someone should be thrashed, frankly.
