It's light when I leave in the morning (at 6.50) and the bulbs in the park are flowering. I love this time of the year, and it's much easier to recognise it; the corresponding time that I like in Autumn has usually passed by the time I realise it's happening. You know what I mean.
I haven't had the feeling of coming out of the unit at about 12.30 and feeling Spring in the air yet, though. That has happened in January before now.
Badger looks so cool in that picture.

Spring is my favourite time too, Aubs. It's that fresh new feeling you get. The crocuses are coming out in our garden and the daffs are about 6" above the ground, but not out in bloom yet. I love that picture. It takes me back to senior school first year when they put on the play of "Toad of Toad Hall".

I'm off to the Canary Islands in 10 days time on a walking holiday. I chose March over January because there is less chance of rain; however the long range forecast for La Palma is for northerly winds and showers : it was lovely sunshine in January.
Ah well, long range forecasts are always a bit dodgy. Maybe I'll bring the rain home with me - we could do with it.
