Thank you!
I wasn't around myself or I'd have thanked you earlier.
On Sunday we went to Ludlow for lunch, where I've never been, and then on to Coalbrookdale where I've never been either. Got back this evening.
It was fun.

I get so behind with all the birthdays. It seems almost as if everybody has one every year . . whew, exhausting.
How were the delights of Ludlow Jean? Was there much there to keep a birthday girl happy?

Sounds like a good day, Jean.
If you were a cat you'd be a May Kitten (they are the ones that sleep on babies' faces and suffocate them. I think cats got blamed for a lot of cot deaths).

It's the foodie capital of the Galaxy. Allegedly. And she didn't invite me to lunch. OH was paying, and she refused to pay for you as well. Sorry. I love the sort of restaurant where they bring you little unannounced and unordered amuse-gueules between courses. That night we stayed in the YH at Coalport where they have very nice ensuite double rooms for £48, and we bought stuff at Tesco and cooked it ourselves (the gourmet shops in Ludlow weren't open because it was Sunday). The church in Ludlow is one of Simon Jenkins' 1,000 best. I t has wonderful glass though that does look a bit over-restored to me.
