Or so Norton's Firewall thinks. I keep getting a message from Symantec that a portscan is threatening to intrude but the address it cites as the invader is my own router address. Huh? What's that all about? Do I need to press something or must call I out an IT freak from the office?

The new update of Norton keeps deleting shortcuts from my desktop, every time it does a scan and I'm sure its done a few other things as files are not where they should be and I have to go and get them out from 'all programmes' again.

Patrick/mods, everytime I post a message it opens up in another window and stays put, so I have at the moment 3 subcrouch's open? Not sure why that is Bodg, but it must be something at your end. It's not coming from here. Have you changed your browser settings or something? Best bet might be to see if Rob or Luc or Alpha are around later, as they are considerably more techie than me.

P.S. I'm not a fan of Norton. Any time I've used it it's seemed very big and very slow.
BTW, what's with all this moving posts into different sections Patrick? Are we pretending we're a proper orderly board here?

Are we pretending we're a proper orderly board here? Apologies. It was late, I was bored, and they were threads, distinctly non-foodie enough for The Kitchen! Probably won't happen again. Oops - that should be in Manly Bold Type really. Shhh! Don't let Alpha see you criticise Norton! He loves it! ;D Usually Bodge's problem happens to all of us when there's a shoutbox around - which there hasn't been for a while. That and the Desktop tidying he's (you're) experiencing sounds like a few boxes need unticking in an options setting somewhere?

I know Patrick is not a fan of the chain store method but I don't see why we can't aim to have a moderate share of the market by the end of 2009. Well done, Bodge! I am exalting you for your dedication to Stub Crouch.

Oh.
I didn't know that 'The Kitchen' was supposed to be for food-related topics.

Is 'The Garage' meant to be for car-related topics?

Is 'The Garage' meant to be for car-related topics? Now you're just being pernickity! Incidentally, the picture at the top is the inside of the top end of the Garage at Stub Crouch - it was over 30 feet long - Complete with space for cars, bikes, motorbikes and neatly equipped with two coal bunkers! Which the cat used to - er-hem! - "utilise" bringing a whole new meaining to the technical term "brown coal" As you can see, it really was full of "Any old junk!"
