Strange how these things wax and wane. I thought BitBOT was dead, but look at it now! Housey is all over it. And MCL is almost dead. They're bringing back O Levels! How exciting!! I've got lots to say about that but i doubt if anyone's interested. |

Hi Riot! I've just come back from walking the middle section of the Pennine Way. Yes, it did rain a lot but all had good clothing so weren't soaked like you were. And I've lost a bit of weight.

I don't see how you can lose weight on long-distance walking trips. Every bloody night you're in the pub, and every day you're scoffing Mars Bars and having big cooked breakfasts. (Or is that just the Scottish way?) My Dad volunteers for the organisation I work for and we were both at the same work conference this week. Now my BOSS is planning to walk the WHW next year with my Dad. I'm not happy. |

Riot, I couldn't possibly haul myself up a hill after a big breakfast. Cereal, toast, fruit if there is any ....maybe a spoonful of baked beans. That gives you jet propulsion.
I can kind of understand why you are upset about your boss chumming up with your Dad - but surely you weren't thinking of going off walking again?
