There is a crisis in middle eastern TV. Dubai television companies have refused to broadcast episodes of The Flintstones. They say that people from Dubai do not understand it.
However, people from Abu Dhabi do.

However, people from Abu Dhabi do. I was just about to start slagging off Muslims for having no sense of humour when I noticed the "Abu Dhabi do" bit. Duh! Mind you, DO you have to have a sense of humour to watch The Flintstones? (and will that cat ever stay out for the night?)

Interesting defence by the BBC on Feedback this afternoon over the Gaza appeal debate. Interesting in so far as it was so dripping with faffspeak that it meant absolutely nothing. Either that or I wasn't really paying attention to the 12 year old they were talking to.

I suppose the BBC have not broadcast similar appeals in war zones, though I may be wrong.
I read it, a case of backpeddling in extreme. Having made the decision, without reasoning, they are trying to grab for any reasoning.
