Saw Scargill in the latter half of the re-showing of the 1979 election the other day. The gruesome thing is - he was spot on "Kinnock like" in his predictions of what was going to happen next.
I'm pretty disgusted by what's going to happen tomorrow. Absolutely unbelievable. Oddly enough - if the Tories provide enough tax bribery in the run up to the next election to make them electable - and the win any kind of majority - I honestly think it will be time to leave the country! (A-la Weyland!)
This afternoon MP's are debating the little known 2006 "Equality Act". More especially "Clause 3" they basically want to strip this clause out to strip away peoples rights to defend themselves against discrimination, by age, gender or disability. Reading between the lines anyway. Govt wants to repeal the whole act in the end - to make the country "More Competitive". What with that and the "Big Society" and "Workfare" undermining the Minimum Wage - look out for an announcement that Apple will be moving it's manufacturing base to the UK creating thousands of jobs at 2p an hour.
Oops, sorry, got carried away there.....
