Blackberry Whisky.

Every year for the past three or four I've promised myself a walk up by the river to pick those juicy fruit - I even have my own pretend Kilner Jar to get things started.

Failed again.

This was the recipe I was going to use - anyone know anything better?

Years ago I'd go Sloe picking with my Dad, then a litre bottle would be filled with Sloes, Sugar and a scattering of Hazelnuts from the garden and ceremoniously turned every evening into the Autumn. Yummm.

All is zen calm in the world of the me! Hope you and your familly are all doing okay (this is a bit like a letter really isn't it). As for internets postings...I sort of lost all interest in it last year...simply couldn't be bothered, I read many books and watched far too much tele instead!

Yes, you kind of disappeared off the radar! My family are doing well. Mr. Ev has retired and we are doing grandparent duty two days a week.

I defected to GWD because The Stub seemed to take a downturn with everyone going their separate way. However, if you're back and if we can interest Trubbs, perhaps we can breathe a bit of life into this place again. I keep up with Patrick on Facebook so we keep in touch that way.
