When you've cooked a Burger or Crumpet under the grill and put cheese on top, quite often, drops of cheese will fall onto the bottom of the grillpan and burn slightly leaving little half Smartie shaped crispy cheese drips.

Rather yum. Wondering if you could deliberately make them?

Yes, just put your grill on full, and put some cheese under it, sans crumpet.

It's not the same. It's that slightly buttery mix that does it!
