What do you resent? A new game if you like - What you have or haven't done in life? (Though I suppose that would be a "regret" wouldn't it?) Something that might not even be your fault? Something that you went along with in life to please other people, family members in fact, but you still resent the fact that it happened that way?
C'mon - there's no one here who will tell on you - Think of it as therapy!
I resent - for instance the Bastard solicitor who having had executorship over my Grandmother's house - sold the lot off for peanuts when we knew there were valuable antiques there.
I resent the fact that my family didn't do anything about it when I wanted to.
There is more, but let's hear yours..............

I regret that I didn't go and live in London for a while before I had my babies.
I regret that I didn't travel more of the world before I had my babies.

Perhaps you'll be lucky enough to retire early and do it all then?
That's what my Mum and Step-Dad did! (Him being in the police helped with that of course (retirement at 55 I think) but they (and here's another bit of resentment) Buggered orf all over the place - Canada, Down the Nile. so it seemed anyway! They're still at it today in their motorhome - across the country visiting all their little friends! Although they are rapidly running out of money again - and the M/H might have to be sold next year already! Call me selfish though, but they have no understanding of what it's like without a vehicle! Sure, you can get out and about, but it takes you twice - if not more - as long to get anywhere!
I had a headmaster who retired at 60 I think - but he was off all round the world afterwards - very religious chap so they would go and help out at Schools in the Holy Land and things. Beats sitting at home staring out the window!

I regret that I didn't travel more of the world before I had my babies. I try to avoid thinking about regrets because I am so f'ckt up that I really haven't come to terms with any of my life yet. But... I regret that I didn't travel more of the world before I had my babies. yes, I relate to that. You can't go back and catch up later.

Perhaps you'll be lucky enough to retire early and do it all then? Yes, we can all look forward to travelling later, but you can't be young and do it. Travel broadens the mind etc...

No regrets as such, though I do wonder how much different my life would be if one choice or another had been made differently in the past It was that Doctor Who episode that started such thinkings off

I regret nothing, I apologise for nothing. Okay, if the truth be told I really should've joined the Parachute Regiment, I would've made a good soldier and I think I would've enjoyed the life once I'd got used to the discipline. AH

I've a friend in his mid 40's who missed out in joining the Navy years ago. So what he did was join the Reserves, or whatever it is that's like the TA but on ships. Every year he had a couple of weeks off when he'd go down to Portsmouth and play with gun ships - and a few years ago went to help out in Iraq loading supply ships. Although apparently this meant spending a lot of time sitting by a hotel pool sipping cold beers for some reason??
It's never to late to get involved, I imagine, in some form or other.

I think I'm too old for the TA. The French Foreign Legion might be an option. They are quite a good outfit, they get to do some cool stuff for the French government when it doesn't want to be seen fighting (which is all the time). AH
