wuhoooooooooo!! Neil Innes himself aknowledged one of my jokes on Twitter!! That's it! I've fallen for the celebrity thing! But Innes is cool. Quiet guy now (perhaps he always was) quite content to watch the woodpeckers in his garden and do DIY. Nice chap.

The real Neil Innes? Very cool. Bear in mind that I opened a facebook account with the name Sammy Davis Jr recently. What was the joke?

I found him through twittering with Stephen Fry. Although Mr Fry has 100,000 followers...poor Neil just 2,500...and Fry ignores my tweets. Bent nosed bastard!

No, it's a sweet joke. The real thing, then. And Fry too... you are really networking. It's always pleasing when someone acknowledges one's genius oh the tragedy when it goes unnoticed ;D but when it's someone who must hear a lot of good stuff or just someone with any type of power or celebrity you can't help but feel chuffed. We are only human. I was once very chuffed that some BBC presenter asked to use one of my lines on their show. Haven't a clue who it was or what show but presumably something to do with the Today show because it was on the Today boards -- because I didn't revisit the thread for ages after so I don't know if it was ever used. It was really lame. Too lame for me to ever repeat it here. How does one twitter? And why?

Google Twitter, Trubs. Mr Fry uses it a lot...tells people what he's doing, wishes everyone a goodnight etc'. He got trapped in a lift last week. I must STOP this sycophantic nonsense!!

No, it's a sweet joke. Sounds more like a "tweet" joke to me! Did I ever tell you the time I thanked Zoe Ball for the Golden Nuggets?

I've looked at Twiiter, Jonathon Ross was talking to SF about it or something like that a few weeks ago.
It's basically "Texting" by PC which seems rather an odd phenomenon! Or like the "What are you doing now" bit on Facebook.
Strange.

Went to Radio One as part of a media course, spent some of the morning in the studio. Three of us introduced to ZB the oters said a shy "Hi" and went and sat down - I just said "I hear we've got you to thank for the return of Golden Nuggets!" - and we had a brief little chat about that until the next record ended! Hey ho. I think I rather put my little friends noses out of joint for being so relaxed! Even if I do say so myself - Gawd! What AM I like! It's that thing of seeing the person within rather than what's on the outside! I don't tend to get phased by celebrity for some reason. Mind you - if it was our very own rjpageuk of course - Well - I think we can all agree that would be another matter entirely! ;D

Sod Stephen Fry...I get more of a kick from you and Pat replying. to me. And Sesley of course. Lose a little esteem when Sesley ignores me though. But to suggest I'm celebrity mad? Nonsense. At least Neil Innnes has great taste...

Tried to register with Twitter. Some bugger is using the name of Everso! How very dare they? I registered briefly with another name, but I felt a bit uncomfortable as my real name was up there for all to see as well. Felt that I really didn't need to join the several thousand who are following Stephen Fry, so I deleted my account.

If you imagine 100, 000 on Stub Crouch...and expecting Pat or the mods to engage with any single one of them. An Impossible task.
I do admire Fry but mainly because of his Melchett in Blackadder.

Jeeves and Wooster would be my favourite Fry. I also remember him as a dopey detective in a costume drama - Gosford Park or something like that. He was in an episode of New Statesman, he was a TV host in "V for Vendetta" (he got killed in that film), the narrator in the Hitchhiker's film. A bit of Fry and Laurie was amusing I just checked and he also did the narration for several of the Harry Potter films too
