And is it safe to wrap things well- thus keeping them frozen-and return them to the freezer? I have a big old load of stuff I'd rather not chuck.
I defrost mine about once a year or thereabouts - best during Wintertime.
If you have any coolboxes or bags I'd use them and failing that line plastic bags with plenty of old newspapers which will insulate.
If meat starts to defrost, so long as it's just around the edges it should be fine to re-freeze, but I'd be careful with fish.
Cook any defrosted meat and it'll be o.k. to re-freeze then.
