I don't wish Girls Aloud dead.
They seem to be five attractive young women of some limited musical talent, but professional in what they do. I wish them well.
Their music is not to my taste but hey, it's a big world and there's room for everyone in it. After all, I'm led to understand (although I find it hard to believe) that not everybody considers Nick Cave to be the world's foremost musical genius.

I thought that was James Blunt? I though he was the new Schost, Shosto, Szosht....... bugger, Mozart! ;D Hey Look! Arf started a thread! Well done that man! At least they (G.A) now have enough songs to make a concert. TMF or one of the music channels showed them live last year and about 60% of it was cover versions.

After all, I'm led to understand (although I find it hard to believe) that not everybody considers Nick Cave to be the world's foremost musical genius. Who's Nick Cave? Nicholas Edward Cave (born 22 September 1957 in Warracknabeal, Victoria, Australia) is an Australian musician, songwriter, author, screenwriter, painter, and occasional actor. He is best known for his work in the rock band Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, established in 1984, who have become critically acclaimed for their fascination with American roots music. Before that, he had fronted the group The Birthday Party in the early 1980s, a band renowned for its highly dark, challenging lyrics and violent sound influenced by free jazz, blues, and post-punk. In 2006, he formed the garage rock band Grinderman that released its debut the following year. Cave's music is generally characterised by intensity and a wide variety of influences. Nick Cave currently lives in Brighton & Hove, England. Mrs E, get a grip

Haven't listened to TMS since we "Won" (was it 05 or 06?) thanks to the dismal weather (wouldn't it be!). With the new generation creeping in it's getting a tad more sanitised year by year - At least we still have Blowers - but for how long? They could repeat matches from years gone by and I'd listen.

Oddly enough, after I'd posted the above, I listened to Desert Island Discs on Radio 4 and the guest was David Walliams who requested a Nick Cave number. Sorry to say I wasn't very impressed, but maybe it was a duff one that only David Walliams liked. At the moment I'm playing a CD I got from the Mail on Sunday. "West Side Story". Damn good music.
