I mean, though, has anyone really watched Harry Potter films all the way through? Similarly, and I realise I might be stepping on to hallowed ground here, has anyone managed to stay awake through all the Lord of the Ring films? Or maybe I'm just not into fantasy. Harry P I can keep up with - but maybe just to pull the thing apart and see what glaringly important parts of the plot have been pulled. The Yawnfest that is the LOTR lot - I'm led to believe has stuck indecently close to the books as if they were something sacred that would deeply offend some Tolkein religion otherwise. I could fall happily asleep to. I cannot understand why so many think he's so marvellous. Ditto C.S. Lewis which is the next one they're trying to get us to rave over. I read the first page of The Hobbit and gave up.

I read the first page of The Hobbit and gave up. I never got far with it either, my brother would take it off me after a while saying that I bent the spine on it. Funnily enough I ended up with that book in a box with others, and guess what - 30 years down the line it's still immaculate! Only read once!

Tolkein's trash. Let's all just admit it. Alice in Wonderland was much better.

I started reading the Hobbit when I was about 13 (and I read EVERYTHING then) and it was so silly and boring that I barely managed a few pages. Ditto CS Lewis also; his twee yet noble middle-class English children always grated on me.

93, but it could be more cos I often don't recognise a film by it's title. Often I'm half way through a film before I reckon I've seen it. Riot & Trubs have probably been in the cinema at the same time as most of these films but they wouldn't have seen them cos their legs were in the air at the time. How fucking dare you. Perhaps for the Police Academy series but otherwise that is simply not true.

oops I see swearware has been changed back lol I HAVEN'T TOUCHED THE SWEARWARE FOR OVER 24 HOURS FFS!!! NOBODY HAS TOUCHED IT SINCE YESTERDAY. (Yesterday being when, at the request of a decent and long-standing member, the swearware which exchanged one f word for a fluffier f wodrd was, indeed, disabled. Alpha said he'd fucking kill us if we didn't.)

Total so far: Still 14. I've never heard of half of these. Most of them were porn so no worries. Your score means you have a life. But I don't understand how anyone has managed NOT to see the Wizard of Oz .

And the creepy lion tin-man peado types, and that witch with the chin who disintegrated in water and little people singing. Either I saw it or I imagined it. Is it that one?

Tolk ien Mea Culpa. Tolkien's trash. Just so long as it's spelt right ;D btw, Tolkien learnt Finnish in order to read the Kalevela - a Finnish epic story - and sooooooo boring (where's the snoozing smiley). He based his high elf language on Finnish

He based his high elf language on Finnish So he reckoned on no one having read the Finnish version, tweaked the odd name here otr there, and just copied it all out in English. I see.
