I've just been confronted with a message asking me to establish what my forum is all about! I was tempted to say; "Family" but we don't have children, so I chose "Entertainment" instead.
I've long wondered why Proboards don't have some sort of listing for their boards.
It seems, however, that it's all a ploy for more direct marketing to take place..........
"* We plan to use these categories as part of our upcoming Forum Directory service where we will allow your forum to be listed in a directory on the ProBoards.com site. Don't worry -- if you don't want to be listed in the forum directory, you won't have to. It will be entirely opt-in when it launches. Once it does launch, it will be a great way for new people to find your message board. * This category will use this information to better target relevent advertising to your forum. This will not add any new advertising to your forum.
Please note that in the future when we launch our Forum Directory you will have the option to select a more precise sub-category for your forum that will be more specific to your board's interest."

Cool. We can find out about lots of other forums, invade them, cause arguments and make lots of shiney new pals!
