I've always fancied learning drums, but this kid just makes me so depressed. How can he have so much talent?

I borrowed a guitar from a friend for a few weeks once, suffice to say, my dreams of rock stardom were quickly and brutally shattered after a few jamming sessions. Some things just are'nt meant to be. AH

Mr Plum used to be in a band - 40 years ago. Hadn't touched a gee-tar in all that time until a couple of years ago.
The silly ole fool suddenly decided he needed a Fender....then realised it's not like riding a bike. He's forgotten every bloomin' chord he knew...

You can't go wrong with a melodeon. The chords are built in and the buttons arranged so the the most dire rubbish will at least be in harmony.

I'm thinking of buying Mr. E. a banjo for his 60th birthday.

I'm thinking of buying Mr. E. a banjo for his 60th birthday. Is that so he can serenade you under lampposts on street corners? You'd be better off with a ukulele then! Poor old George - he only gets 177,000 hits on Google!

I've always fancied learning drums, but this kid just makes me so depressed. How can he have so much talent? You want to hear a fantastic drum solo? Have a listen to Dave Black - with Duke Ellington "Gonna Tan Your Hide" When I first heard this - it pounded me into my comfy chair, I couldn't move! I was absolutely gobsmacked! Bonkers! Caution - for those adversely against such things - this is a jazz track. www.drummerworld.com/Sound/daveblacktanyourhide.mp3Quicktime needed.

Playing a guitar can be dangerous-so many die.
Hendrix would be too obvious
