Drinking with the Girls Today, 21:00 on BBC Three
Documentary in which Cherry Healey explores women's attitudes to alcohol. Cherry drinks with women across the country and tries to find out what girls drink, where they drink and how their tastes change throughout their lives.
From teenagers drinking in their bedrooms to grannies on a boozy trip, she hears people's embarrassing drunken secrets and sees how some women want to grow old disgracefully, as well as looking at why drunk women get such bad press.
Though one can't help thinking that it's been done a few times by now?
Radio Times Preview: Cherry Chadwyck- Healey, 27, likes a drink or two. But she wants to know why other women get drunk and so joins seven differently aged sets of female boozers to find out. This is one helluva binge and she weeps after the "bleak and desolate experience" of a shocking night out drinking with the 20-somethings (she also violently throws up after an amusing experiment comparing men's capacity for alcohol with women's). Sobering viewing but with fun moments too. Her conclusion? Woman drink for different reasons at different times of their lives.
