Smoking for one....
I'm not having a low moment here - being a year or so free from the dreaded ciggies myself - but I was just thinking about it - the nice part when the naughty nicotine has tickled your receptors and lifted you out of the nasty stressful world.
Same thing with alcohol really - where that's concerned I call it "Tickling the nipple" The pleasurable feeling you get once the wine or beer starts stimulating those cells in the brain to make everything feel "better".
Makes you wonder really, instead of doing deathly boring things like food production enhancements - why can't all the evil scientists in the world be nice and produce stuff that we can legally take, drink, eat, smoke, that makes us happy!
They say, for instance, that there's enough money floating around this country, doing nothing, not nessecelerarily belonging to anyone that could give everyone here a minimum basic income! Just think what level of pleasure that would give? You might cut crime to a certain extent? Though obviously nothing can overcome the "I want/jealousy" factor, that prompts it in the first place.
It just seems to me that the Government constantly has to come up with legislation telling people not to do things - when with the right sort of people management and money management they could so easily make more people happy!
Bonkers thoughts over.

Some lovely things are good for you . . .like walking and doing yoga and swimming and eating fresh fruit.
It's all a question of perspective.

Of Course! There's nothing more lovely than a Yeo Valley Strawberry Smoothie yoghurt of course! Swimming's ok if you are on your own in a private pool - and there's a table by the side of the pool with a crisp linen cloth and a bottle of chilled white wine and two glasses - Won't you join me? Here for instance - sans table and wine is a nice pool by a nice big house in Surrey where my Nan used to house sit and old lady sit for a rich American family when they went home, for a while. We took full advantage of the pool, of course. (Spot the Space Hopper!)
