........or more accurately about Euthanasia, but deleted later on. Mainly because what with our cat getting a bit rickety it made me think about the fact that we as a nation will put to sleep animals who suffer, yet (some) see it as some kind of abomination to even consider doing it to humans. Odd, when you will hear many folk saying in jest maybe - "If I get like that - shoot me/let me swim out to sea and drown/leave me alone for a while with a bottle of gin and some sleeping pills" etc. Pure coincidence then that I hear on the PM prog that a member of EXIT the "right to suicide" group was in Bournemouth today giving a talk on how people could take their own lives; "The town's great and good did their best to keep him at bay and immigration officials pounced when he arrived at Heathrow airport. But today at a hotel in Bournemouth, Philip Nitschke, also known as Dr Death, calmly explained to 100 middle-aged and elderly people how, if they chose, they could take their own lives.
Nitschke spoke about his "DIY suicide kit", showed the audience films explaining some of the techniques involved, and patiently answered their questions.
Anyone aged over 50 or seriously ill was invited to join Exit, the right-to-die organisation, for a fee of £25 and attend in-depth workshops."

Over 50 makes me feel a bit uncomfortable! Anybody think it strange that as we seem to live longer healthier, ideas of when 'old' and 'past it' start seeem to be getting younger?

With my youngest just turned 30 I'm beginning to feel quite old - but not as old as my 89 year old uncle . It's all relative, and thank god some of my relatives are far far older than me!

Lobster is amazing, and not trying it is a pretty easy thing to fix
