Is Eurovision on this weekend then?
I shall find something to do.

I suggest the they forgot the words, La - Boom - Bang game. A sip for a La but if you get a Boom of a Bang then take a good swig! By the way, talking about translations, if you have freeview you can press the red button while the show is on. It shows you the song words in the native language and in english, so you can singalong.

I've watched it with the ceefax subtitles up before. Singing along. It's a great way to make it fun. Some of these lyrics are a veritable feast of random words beside each other and you'd be surprised how easy it is to guess the next note correctly.

Well, I'm still trying to work out what "Norpar" means from the ladies with doilies on their heads!

Well! As GIant was the only one to actually come out with a suggestion for a game - the Hugs go to her.
Well Done GIant!

The only good thing about this farce is that Motto usually scopes out the years "hot tip" for "the most drool inducing female act" AH Moldova

Still got Estonia's number swirling around my head.
Here's a little interview with the group
Comparing the lyrics - It just wouldn't have been the same in English:
"Kõrbekuumuses liiva Lendab kui jääkülma lund Öö peagi laotamas tiivad Rändajaid saatma jääb tuul
See on tee nad rändavad nii päevast päeva See on tee nad rändavad siis ajast aega See on tee ta nähtamatu rajana kulgeb Nende ees ta ootab kui riskida julged
Külmunud hingi vaid saadab Kuuvalgus varje neist loob Päikesekiirena sooja Hommik taas endaga toob
English Translation The Nomads
In the desert heat the sand Blows like ice-cold snow Night soon unfurls her wings Nothing but the wind to escort the nomads
It is the way they wander from one day to the next It is the way they wander from one life to the next It is the way it weaves an invisible path Before them it waits until you are ready to take the risk
It conveys only frozen souls The moonlight makes shadows of them Warmth in a ray of sunlight Is what the morning brings once again
It is the way they wander from one day to the next It is the way they wander from one life to the next It is the way it weaves an invisible path Before them it waits until you are ready to take the risk
They wander from one day to the next They wander from one life to the next It weaves an invisible path It waits until you are ready to take the risk
A voice echoes over the mountains up to the heavens
It is the way they wander from one day to the next It is the way they wander from one life to the next It is the way it weaves an invisible path Before them it waits until you are ready to take the risk It is the way "

Don't be mean to me. I like these songs. Wasn't keen on Puppet on a String (Sandy Shaw lived down the road to Mr. E., btw), but I liked Waterloo.

Nobody really got the sarcasm in last year's Irish entry and probably it would never have got in except for following the UK's example of letting the public vote - and they voted for Stuff it. But at least Ireland is no longer the natural winner because everybody throws the votes that they don't want to give to anybody else there.

Success! (sort of). The "Estonian Earworm" has been replaced! No idea how it happened mind.

because everybody throws the votes that they don't want to give to anybody else there. Another conspiracy theory! Patrick, that's not a eurovision song though, is it? Anyway, it's an unsatisfactory earworm so I'll offer you one of mine:

What a strange video Trubbs! Further normality has returned. As I have gone back to my original Earworm of the past couple of weeks since I bought the track from Amazon! Never occurred to me that it might be on Youtube!
