Anyone brave enough to give it a go this year? Just watching the Semi's - We've had "A Diva". "A Bonkers Elvis Impersonator complete with "Spirit in the Sky" backing singers! " "A Barry Manilow Wannabe" and a couple of women with lampshades on their heads! Let's hope it doesn't get too blandified by the end!

Well they do have to amuse themselves while their boyfriends are out doing a bit of light ethnic cleansing . . . Naturally! Not to mention composing amusing little ditties to sing! Oh God, is it that time again? AH I know! I know! I haven't watched the thing for twenty odd years, yet last year we had the final Saturday programme on and this year - as you see - have watched the other bits too! It was worth it just seeing the Icelandic beauty song! That's sort of when I started paying attention...... um.

Ok kids so here we are again, with the second semi final for eurovision which has just started on BBC3. So far we have had Croatia (guy and four girls all dressed in black floaty outfits) who have given big wailing. We now have Ireland singing a boppy number. However the lead singer looks like she has come off worse in a fight with a tiger as her tights are all ripped (i.e. all full of holes - deliberately I think). This could be the next generation of e.g. nolans or bewitched. Latvia have just come on. God the front guy is scary! Girls are dressed in funny layer dresses with capes. God! How the balkan countries love their capes. We had several in the last programme. Happy watching folks.

Poor old Tel was getting a bit depressed by it all though! Which voting theory did you subscribe to: a - it was all a fix with neighbouring nations voting for each other (espl. the Balkans, the Baltics and the Scandinavians) OR b - people living closer to each other have their own regional favourite kinds of music and tend to like each others' tunes?

No, no deaths from Serbia although the girl in the floaty dress could have smothered someone.
We have just had the violin playing, mullet headed Norwegian entry, who was a bit off tune too!!
