David Blunkett is trampledI know Labour are in trouble, but going for the sympathy vote...? No, no! I didn't mean that and I do feel sorry for the guy. Fortunately, it's just a cracked rib. However, I'd get shot of Sadie - she ran off! Mr. Blunkett's fiancee was with him and she's a GP.

"I know the public are furious with politicians, but I didn't realise the anger has spread to Britain's cow population, too." Why is it they only become near human again once they're out of the mainstream? I think the changes to MP's rules should include a month of work experience at Sainsbury's, the local housing department or working the Rubbish Collecting for the Summer Holidays.

Forget the idea that dogs give you protection while walking in the countryside. They are a magnet for curious bovines who ignore people, and a target for over-protective cows with calves.
Dog and I got followed once by a big herd of bullocks. The ones at the back seemed to be pushing the ones at the front, and I was worried that if they began trotting they would be unable to stop.
Blunkett did the text-book thing by letting Sadie off the lead. I did the same with my dog who refused to leave my side, and he made things worse by barking when I turned round to wave my hands when the herd got too close.
It was scary.

I always enjoy a nice bit of sirloin, but cows do scare me when they are close up.

However, I'd get shot of Sadie - she ran off! Judging by her rapid exit is Sadie also a former minister? ;D ;D ;D
