Just started. Stephen Fry sounds like he's (for anyone familiar with his Harry Potter rendition) doing his impression of Gilderoy Lockhart.
I don't know how I'm going to get on with this.

I think I'm going to like Samantha's replacement, Sven.

I haven't listened yet but sven sounds funny. Stephen maybe not so much. I will try to be open minded.

Oh! Sven was always around when Samantha went for a little break. She likes to go on these archaeological jaunts, and is quite fond of brass rubbing. This week she's in the Mediterranean looking for an old Greek to rub up against.

Missed it. I suppose the cricket got in the way: I had Radio Wales on. If anybody can follow Humph, I suppose Steve Fry can, but I think I'd prefer to let it go. It came out of I'm sorry, I'll read that again with a lot of similar 'surreal' programs of the time and the age of participants mostly has made it very much Humph's stuck in that milieu for those of us who appreciate it as an institution something like the old Sunday afternoon regulars that went on for ever. I don't think Humph should be replaced: it was his. I think the programme should be. Just as it restricted what it came from. maybe it should open up to something related but maybe with sketches again. Bring back Lady Constance!!! Many many times
