is it an ice cream-maker? No. It is a machine, but ice-cream making is definitely not part of its repertoire. Nor was it designed for taking the top off a boiled egg.

is it a machine for taking the majority of the bottom off of a boiled egg? It would do that effortlessly, but no.

is the maid marian name a clue? Perhaps, but I can't see how. I think it's just that she's a traditional British heroic icon. It's not a tucking fryer. At least I doubt that that thought occurred to the designers. Night night. The bacon and egg sandwich was delicious.

What are we meant to be looking at anyway? The underwater udder or Maid Marian (who doesn't look much use for anyone's kitchen)?

What are we meant to be looking at anyway? The underwater udder or Maid Marian (who doesn't look much use for anyone's kitchen)? Maid Marian. Did I say it was anything to do with kitchens? Oh -- I see -- it's only kitchen stuff. Senior moment. It isn't. But it still has to be solved, otherwise it'll be the end of civilisation as we know it. It's a very large machine.

is it Walt Disneys Robin Hood? Yes. Whoops -- I mean no. And it's not Herby either. Or Mary Poppins. In fact it's not a movie at all. It's a machine.

I added the word "kitchens" only because the alternative use I was thinking of was too rude for this board.

Is it a Terminator T2000?
I've heard they're very good cooks but they tend to kill all your dinner guests.

Is it a Terminator T2000? No, but on the right lines at last. T1960 would be a lot closer. As I have already attempted to indicate, cooking was not its primary mission, at least not by that name.

The B bit is correct. Though some would prefer V.

Got it! She is a Vermin Beheader (otherwise known as a mousetrap.) I can see where you're coming from, Sparrow. No. She's only a ..er.. sort of mascot. On a machine 35 metres long. In a museum.
