For a moment there, I thought that was some kind of spicy sausage kit for chopping up and scattering over pizza. ;D AH

We just got back from a really nice restaurant in Chelmsford called Bada. We go there about once a month (usually after I've had the kids for the day, like today). I'm so stuffed I don't think I shall sleep well tonight.

Fish salad last night (tuna and prawn). Ham salad tonight. I said we'd make up for the bad behaviour of last weekend didn't I! Though how many salads it takes to counter balance sausages and chips and bacon and egg......... Probably a couple more I should think.
I've a recipe for this mad salad thing. You have new potatoes with mayonnaise and chives at the bottom, then roasted and peeled slivers of red pepper, then bits of chicken then slices of red onion then courgette - or something like that - it's very 'chunky' to eat but tasty.

Sounds a bit like a sort of savoury trifle. Except for the lack of jelly.

I'm so stuffed I don't think I shall sleep well tonight. I Googled Bada Chelmsford out of curiosity, and the first entry says Barda Resturant Chelmsford. The rest say Bada. Did you have Lamb Bada? Please say yes.

Well, I just checked on google street scene and it IS Barda with an r. But how strange that so many people, including me, have spelt it without.
Anyyyywaaaaayyyy, as Costal would say, I didn't have lamb, which we are having tonight. I had potted crab with a cucumber, celery and rocket salad, which was delicious, then I had vegetable pie, which sounds horrible, but was excellent. Then I forced down raspberries, shortbread and chantilly cream (not not lace, Weyland).
We got home about 10 ish and I could hardly move. What a pig I am at times.

I LOVED that Big Bopper song when I was about 12. Still do. Chantilly lace and a pretty face And a pony tail hanging down That wiggle in the walk and giggle in the talk Makes the world go round There ain't nothing in the world like a big eyed girl That makes me act so funny, make me spend my money Make me feel real loose like a long necked goose Like a girl, oh baby that's what I likeAs you know, Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, and the Big Bopper all died in the same plane crash in 1959. A sad, sad day for Rockers everywhere. And Mods. As Don McClean sang, the day the music died.
