No, actually she's done a reasonable amount. But still, I think it's Brigitte (the GS character) I have the crush on, rather than Emily herself; she is a really good character. Though she has turned more normal-looking since. She's nearly 20 years younger than me, which is scary.

awww okay. i thought she looked very unusual and strange in ginger snaps, but each to their own. i really like that Lisa Maxwell, who used to be in the bill, and is sometimes on loose women. shes adorable.

Love that Caro Emerald, looks and voice. I've just ordered a CD. Caro Emerald Kirstie Alley in her prime. (She's more like Giant Haystacks these days.) Linda Thorson when she was in The Avengers. And, of course, Kira Nerys in Deep Space Nine. (Nana Visitor.)

Susan Blackmore: I discovered yesterday that she's married to Adam Hart-Davis. That was a shock: though she did a radio programme a couple of years ago where she said that she had taken LSD when she decided to do it.

So there.

So insulting and rude to everyone. Wonderful. Can't stand the man. I usually like him -- wish I had his intellect and learning -- but he's blotted his copybook recently. I was just winding Lily up -- she doesn't like Steve -- cross-thread troublemaking is my speciality.

Mine's Vasily Petrenko, even if he is a man. I have just come back from the most exhilarating Mahler 5 you can possibly imagine!

He has a very nice Eastern European type face. They are quite easy to spot and, on the whole, are quite good looking. The girls especially are very pretty.

Well here's a less ambiguous one, then! (Any excuse...)

Well here's a less ambiguous one, then! (Any excuse...) Miniature Snooker, from the makers of Subbuteo. It's the latest craze. Load of balls, it is. [The word Subbuteo means hobby, as in Falco subbuteo, the Hobby Falcon. That's what I'd call seriously contrived. Like this post.]

When they used to say "in the nick", they meant her. Ms Daly. Not many people know that. . . . I'll get me Panda.

As people have been talking about Foyles War, and as Jean has plumped for a man, I shall go for for Honeysuckle Weeks, largely because her speaking voice lifts my spirits. And she isn't bad to look at. As a teenager I had a huge crush on Patrick McGoohan as The Prisoner. I like to remember him as he was, for he has sorely run to seed.
