Dark here anall. I was sending a package to Guernsey and the sub-postmaster -- an expert, you might think -- asked me "Is that English or foreign?" This was in a Post Office in the middle of Wales. I said "Isn't England foreign, then?" Blank look. Then he said "Oh, it has a postcode, so it must be English." I had a letter for the Netherlands as well, and I said "This has a postcode too." Blank look. Then he said "Is Netherlands in Holland?" I paid and left.

I've had to spend far too much time with twerps since long before you were born. All I can do now is try to the best of my ability to pass the accumulated wisdom of the ages on to the next generation of twerp-prey . . . Beware the Jabberwock, my son! The jaws that bite, the claws that catch! Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun The frumious Bandersnatch!

have you seen that quick quid ad on tv.the stupid womensmiles and just says you can easily borrow to pay off your monthly bills if your income does not cover that for a month. How much money does she think she will have, paying back the interest on that loan?

Or Continental?

Ever noticed that darkness has a different noise/atmosphere to daylight or when you have a light on?

yeah its a whole different kettle of atmosphere all together.. not entirely good, i dont like it when its dark in the day and you ave to put the light on. except on a sunday. its okay on a sunday, for some reason.
speaking of putting lights on, i read somewhere the other day that apparantly, when you're lucid dreaming ( you know when you're able to control your dreams a bit?) if you turn a light on in the dream, you always wake up. Also, i read it is not wise to look in a mirror in a lucid dream, because you always see somethink horrific reflected back at you ( probly from the deep dark recesses of your subconsious self loathing or insecurity or somethink. i was actually lucid dreaming this morning and kept looking for a mirror but i couldnt find one.

The twerp who wrote that what you were reading was dreaming. Was it Stephen Fry? I'm off to pay a visit to Waitrose. Haven't been there for years. Last time they had proper Dutch soy sauce and sambal oelek, and I've run out. I'm hoping they have good sateh stuff as well by now.

Enjoy waitroise, nice to shop in waitrose..you don't get all the hoi polloi in there do ya? its worth paying a little extra for that. i'd rather shop without the backdrop of domestic misery and child abuse, but i carnt afford it.

I've never had the courage to stand in front of a mirror and say "Candyman" three times, have you? Even typing it has made me a bit nerv

You are one brave man. I can sleep with my neck uncovered and not worry about Dracula, and zombies don't bother me at all, but I'm terrified of Candyman.

Ever noticed that darkness has a different noise/atmosphere to daylight or when you have a light on? Absolutely. It's now 17.11 and a few short weeks ago it would have been daylight. It feels very claustrophobic. I hate wintertime. I love the summer - but as long as it's not too hot. One thing though. I find I sleep much better in the winter - which reinforces my theory that humans are meant to hibernate.

Snap, Costal!
Apparently you have to say Candyman 5 times, not 3 times. That's where you've been going wrong.
If you don't appear in the Chambre du Chat this evening, we'll know what's happened to you.
