I'm wondering now if the series was a complete waste of time. Shouldn't the candidates have been asked to write their business plans in advance - or at least give some indication of what their ideas are? When it started I assumed that that's exactly how they were chosen to compete. That it didn't happen goes a long way to explaining why they were such a hopeless bunch, by and large. I was in Boots in Welshpool this morning. No sign of any curved nail-maintenance tool beyond the Chinese kind you see in pound shops. And the lady at the till ckearly had no idea what I was on about at all. Maybe the folks around there get their nails done at the farrier.

No one panic. USA CELEBRITY APPRENTICE HAS STARTED!! BBC 1 wednesday. Celebrities include Piers Morgan (who seems kinda normal compared to the powered up american celebs) and Nadis Comensci(?) - you know - Nadia, the gymnast! Of Olympic Perfect 10 fame! I loved her!! Loved her!! She inspired me to sign up to gymnastics class and I spent the next two years falling off beams in my vest and pants.

YEs, I'm excited by Celeb Apprentice USA. I've actually read Piers Morgan's diaries about it (it was an airport purchase and the flight was long and I AM NOT ASHAMED.)
So I feel I know about it already.
Piers has been going on and on about it on his Twitter this week!

And yet another compelling reason to stay well away from Twitter.

Weyland, you shoulda been on Twitter today. I certainly picked the right time to get hooked . . . I knew the name and id of the pie-thrower literally seconds after it happened. It seems to be amazing for big news stuff like this. So I only popped back to my old friends here on the Stub because, thru one of my new friends (I say 'friends', but I follow them like some kind of pathetic groupie hoping they'll tweet back - so far Leon out of the Apprentice this year has, and so has Angela Giles (twice - we were having a conversation). www.annabelgiles.co.uk/Anyway, as I say through one of my new friends - my sentence broke down there - too many characters I guess - I have found this article which explains a little bit more about how the Apprentice is really filmed. beta.radiotimes.com/news/2011-07-11/revealed-secrets-of-the-apprentice

Yes, she's the head of purchasing (I think) for the South East. She posted about her promotion on Twitter yesterday morning. Old news Weyland, old news.

As I just posted, I told the eager masses of SC about Greggs weeks ago. But I guess Twittering all day long has damaged your attention span so much that you couldn't take it in. Who did you say Angelina is?

Carol Voderman just tweeted me back. (She's talking shite right enough, but hey, have you ever had personal contact with Carol Voderman?)
Twitter people, it's all about Twitter for me these days.

Does she know you can't spell her name? In the words of the great philosopher Trubble, "Yada yada". I hear they're making a movie about it: Carry on Twittering, starring Melody Hossaini and Stuart Baggs, with Stephen Fry as Sralan playing Sid James.

So Biljana?
I felt for her.
She's just that tiny soupcon too foreign - she didn't get the whole stiff upper lip thing.
I liked her. Beautiful girl and very accomplished.

Is that the one that got the sack? I watched it on and off but went upstairs on my computer just before the end. Is that a pithy euphemism or what?! . . . I'll get me benzodiazepine.
