My Grannie always said I was precious. Did that anti squatting law come from the time of the clearances, Riot?

Go and say that on MCL, aubrey. It's a bit quiet at the moment - they need something to bring on a spluttering fit. I'm not sure it would be safe, Jean. They seemed upset enough about my £15 mobile phone, and I didn't even tell them about the £10 a year I spend on calls.

That's not a desert island, anyway. You had my heart going there, jean. For a moment I thought I had the spelling wrong. Niche.

With double cream.

Frivolity is my middle name. Aubrey Frivolity Prufrock? Shall I part my hair behind? Do I dare to eat a peach? I shall wear white flannel trousers, and walk upon the beach. I have heard the mermaids singing, each to each. I do not think that they will sing to me. I have seen them riding seaward on the waves Combing the white hair of the waves blown back When the wind blows the water white and black.

AH I like how you've snuck albums in. I've been thinking along the same line where books are concerned. 1. The Complete Works of Dorothy Parker 2. The Complete Works of Bertolt Brecht 3. The Complete Works of A.A. Milne 4. The Complete Works of Charles Dickens .....

Trubbs, I shall put them up in The Kitchen tomorrow sometime. It's a bit late now and my book of secret recipes is in my kitchen and, frankly, although I think a lot of you, it's just too too much to have to tote my lardy arse all the way downstairs - it already weighs more than it did earlier because I had a nice slice of pecan pie for afters. With cream.

Finally chosen one of my discs. Mozart -- Laudate Dominum But if anyone can tell me which version I should choose, I would be most grateful. I heard it on the radio the other day and it was so perfect, exquisite, something to get lost in. It was Emma Kirkby, but I know nothing of her. Don't know who this is either: Greta de Reyghere? It seems to be sending me to pleasant sleep more than thrilling me. See? Need help, people.

Emma Kirkby is a soprano with a voice of remarkable clarity. She specialises in Renaissance and Baroque music, though she's recently been singing stuff as late as Mozart.
Mozart is a bit late for me, so I wouldn't recommend anyone's version of him. Instead I would recommend EK singing Vivaldi:
