Ok, I'll be there, and will get there later than I said in the PM.
Hrmph! I can't walk there now; probably wouldn't have managed to walk to Blackfriars, come to that.
I'm ok, though I am going to have a stent near my bladder taken out on Monday: they do it with a flexible tube thing with a camera on it that goes in via the Bell-end, so I'm not looking forward to it all that much. Over quite quickly though, they said.

Sorry I didn't get to talk much with you. Hope all goes well on Monday.

What news, Aubrey?

Oh, sorry - that stent removal was fine - it was just as they said - a bit of discomfort (but not pain) and over before I realised it. Not something I'd do for fun, but not really that unpleasant either. The stent was about 6" long, curly at the ends (so it didn't go wandering about) - I had imagined a little tube, but it was just there to keep the tube it was in open.
I learned yesterday not not only have the other two kidneys been left, but that they are both still hooked up: I had assumed that the new kidney would have been hooked up to the tubing of one of the old ones, but no: it has its own tube and there is a new entrance to the bladder (I saw all this from the inside, though it was over too quickly for me to make much sense of it).

Oohh er! Do the old kidneys just shrivel away? I'm glad it all went well.

Oohh er! Do the old kidneys just shrivel away? I'm glad it all went well. He certainly looked well at the Meet. Showed me the scar -- definitely an ooh er! Turns out that was his first beer for years, wot I bought (IIRC). (Haven't listened to the opera yet, Aub. I'll report back when I do.)

The Dr who* told me did say that the old kidneys are shriveled; sop maybe they'll just carry on shriveling.
*Dr Who, hee hee.

"My nephew is due to have a kidney transplant next week and I would like to send him a suitable gift for when he is in hospital. All I can think of at the moment is a facial water spray."As you do. Or possibly a nice zit puller.

Gosh - who's that he's gazing lovingly at?
Perhaps they've eloped.

Gosh - who's that he's gazing lovingly at? Perhaps they've eloped. It's only me, Jean. You clearly don't sign in often enough. Keep up!

He has to wear blouses like like that to accommodate his burgeoning breasts, skylark.
But where is aubrey?

Since when have you had dark hair, worn gathered blouses and a necklace, Weyland? It's amazing what the NHS can do these days, Sparra. ~ Does the name Topcat ring a bell?

But where is aubrey?
This is getting worrying. Did he say he was going away?
He logged in to MCL on October 8th, but didn't post.
