TV is now physically stable, plugged in and turned on.
It's fugging HUGE.
It's taking us through opening questions at the moment.
Then we have to try to tune it in, so that will no doubt be another difficult session.
Still, at least the TV's not in the bin . . .
QOTT has taken my camera (and will probably lose it) or I would take a photo of this mother to show you.
32 Inches is ENORMOUS!! Those people with TVs even bigger than that must have them totally dominating the whole room.
(It's at 20% of auto set up and has yet to find a channel, which is not good)

Are the screws actually broken or are you missing the screwdriver? Neighbours no good? It is the neighbour's screwdriver. We have now broken it a bit by using pliers with it.

What makes a handbag that costs £300 half decent? What is it made out of? Gold and the tears of orphans. hehe

I /we gave up about 10 years ago-far better to spend a bob or two to get some one who understands these things. It`s not just the telly-it`s getting it to talk to the satellite, video and CD And those `stands` are engineered to make no sense

Richer Sounds - Say no more. >thumb down wotsit< AH Oh? Why? 20 years ago, RS were the best for solid hi-fi at really good prices, they had knowledgable, helpfull staff who would help you choose the best stuff for YOU. Now they are just another high-street shop looking to sell you whatever they can for a bit of commision. They still have decent prices, especially for end of the line stuff, but they just aren't the chain they used to be. AH

IT's not going to fall over.
It has a picture.
This is all positive. Gothboy may not be about to beat me to a pulp for breathing or speaking or saying useful things like 'maybe if you slowed down'.
We now have BBC News Channel and everything.
But it's so effing big that these presenters are like lifesize and it's FREAKING ME OUT.
Seriously, do some of you people have TVs bigger than 32 inches? How big are your rooms? My front room is an enormous Victorian job, about 30 feet long and about 12 feet high, and this mother is SWAMPING ME.
How big are your tellies people?
You can get the Radio through this TV too. Why the f would you want to listen to the radio on the TV?
Can I go back to the 20th century?

S'funny, my bruvver's called Stephen. So not as classy really. Hmmmm, big TV's. With apologies to Alpha - when you see one of those haunting the corner of a living room as you walk past - you can't help thinking they look a bit - "common" At least the picture's are better now. two years ago when ours was taken away to be fixed, the repairman commented that ours (not quite so flat widesreen 23" had a better picture than a lot of the plasma things. Wandering past the ones on display in Sainsbury's a little while ago - they don't half kick out some heat though! Talking of cost and value - we've just had a £55 kettle die after two or three years - so I'm seriously contemplating spending ohhh! At least £13 on a new one! Driven to it! Driven to it! that's what I've been! I think I'd pick up another telly (when needed) from Argos - after having a look in other shops to see what they were like! You can't beat their cheap and cheerful 3 year extended warranty.
